Pen + Brush is thrilled to return to SCOPE Miami Beach with a presentation of three women artists: Pyaari Azaadi, Anindita Dutta, and Sarah Stolar. Our booth this year shows these three distinct artists, with varying practices, as powerhouses for different embodiments of current feminist thought. By foregrounding powerful female figures from antiquity to the present day, Pen + Brush’s booth centers transformative narratives of feminine identity, psychological complexity, resilience, and liberation.
We’re especially excited that Anindita Dutta, whose wet clay performance took place on a 13-foot wall at our annual fundraiser last year, will be recreating a processional performance from her series TOO MUCH WITH US at SCOPE on December 4th at 11 AM. In this piece, Anindita transforms discarded feminine objects into living sculptures, reanimating once-passive artifacts of identity and utility onto her body. Through presence and ritual, these reclaimed materials become vessels of memory, resilience, and selfhood—asserting the body not as subject, but as author.
It should also be noted that Pen + Brush will have works available beginning at the $450 price point and as ever, 75% of every sale will go directly to the artist.
