Celebrating Women's Work

All-Media Exhibition for Members and Non-Member Past Participants (Exhibitors + Entrants)
On View: March 8th - March 25, 2012

Deadline for Submission: Monday, February 27th, 2012

Entry Fees: Members $35. for up to 3 works / Non-Member Past Participants (Exhibitors & Entrants) $50. for up to 2 works

Opening Reception: Thursday, March 8th, 5-8pm

Reading Day + Closing Reception: Sunday, March 25, 2012, 2-4 pm (*$10. to read see details below)

Celebrating Women's Work Entry Details: This is a non-juried exhibition open to all members in good standing, and to non-member artists who have previously exhibited or entered work into one of our shows. Works previously exhibited at The Pen and Brush, Inc. will not be exhibited. There is no theme for the exhibition. All media will be accepted (including but not limited to: Painting, Drawing, Photography, Sculpture, Mixed Media, Collage, Installation, Video/Films, Craft, Fiber, Jewelry, Ceramics, etc.)

Works previously exhibited at The Pen and Brush, Inc. will not be exhibited. Members can show up to 3 works for the $35. entry fee, non- member past participants can show up to 2 works for the $50. entry fee.

There is no size limit on any work, wall hung work MUST be wired for hanging or it will not be exhibited. All work must be suitably finished and professionally presented. The Pen and Brush, Inc. reserves the right to refuse work that is not presented professionally. Delivery instructions and forms are included below.

All Works (2D + 3D) must be available for purchase.  Sales are made to The Pen and Brush, Inc, which takes a 25% commission and forwards the balance of 75% to the artist. Sales tax will be collected and remitted on all sales. All film, and video submissions must be available for publication, distribution, and production.

Reading Day/Closing Reception: On Sunday, March 25th, 2-4pm, Women Writers can join in for readings and discussion of their works. Open to all forms of literary arts:  poetry, excerpts from prose, plays, etc. Limit 10 minutes per reading with time for discussion. Reservations are required as readings will be scheduled in timed sessions, times will be arranged via email after you register. There is a $10. participation fee advance registration is required.

Click on the link to "Membership Information Page" in the second half of that message, and you will be transferred to a page where you can pay your entry fee.

3. Email Entry Info. Upon completion of your entry payment please send the following info. to entry@penandbrush.org

- Name, Address, Telephone No.

- Indicate whether you are a Member / or Past Participant (if past participant, please include the title of the show you previously entered)

- Information on works you will be exhibiting: Title, Medium/(Run Time), Size, Price

- Images/Jpegs of the works you are submitting are not required as this is a non-juried exhibition opportunity

4. Delivery of Works: Please attach the labels below on each work as indicated. Please include an artist CV/Resume with your work and/ or an artist statement that pertains to the work on view, or to your work in general.

Hand Delivery Dates: Sunday, March 4th, 10am-2pm / Monday, March 5th, 10am-2pm. For those in the area who cannot personally hand deliver their work on the specified dates you can use a delivery/messenger service or a shipping agent. We do not endorse nor make any warranty about their service, but we suggest for delivery at the artists expense, DAD Trucking, Inc. 855 Edgewater Rd. Bronx, NY 10474, (718)-893-3044.

Shipping of Works: All shipped works must arrive at The Pen and Brush by Friday March, 2nd. You can ship early. Send your work to us anytime after you have submitted your entry. For UPS, FedEx, etc: Include a prepaid return shipping label. Unsold work will be returned in the packing materials in which it was sent during the week of March 25th. We can not return work to the United States Post Office.

Removal Dates: Sun., March 25th, 5:00-6:00pm (work can only be removed after 5pm once the gallery is closed) / Mon., March 26th, 10am-2pm.
