Pen + Brush Profiled on NYC-Arts!
Pen + Brush was featured alongside major art institutions in this episode - from MOMA to the Whitney to Lincoln Center - demonstrating that we are still an important part of the cultural milieu after nearly 123 years. But even more importantly, the segment shared the story and work of one of our talented artists, providing her with exposure on a local, national and international level.
And really, this is what it's all about: giving talented women artists and writers the opportunity to be seen on the larger stage, not because of their gender, but because of the merit and quality of their work.
NYC-ARTS is the weekly arts program servicing stations in the New York City metro area. The show, co-hosted by the longest serving director of the Metropolitan Museum of Art Philippe de Montebello and Emmy Award winning journalist Paula Zahn - with cultural news reporting by Christina Ha - aims to increase awareness of New York City's nonprofit cultural organizations, whose offerings greatly benefit residents and visitors. The program airs Thursdays at 8 pm and Sundays at noon on THIRTEEN; Fridays at 7 pm and Sundays at 3 pm on WLIW21; and Sunday night at 8:30 pm on NJTV.
